“SAM!” The group yelled as they saw the blond heading over to their table. Every member of glee club was there even though this was the ten year anniversary of McKinley’s 2012 class. He grinned and hugged each of them one by one.
“Where’s Mercedes?” Quinn asked, looking behind Sam to see if the short diva was there.
“Yeah, where’s my girl?” Artie asked, rolling up.
“Oh, she had to go to the restroom, but she’ll be here in a minute,” Sam explained.
“I’m here, I’m here!” Mercedes called walking quickly up to the group. She was positively glowing, with long curls falling over her shoulders and a pretty high-waisted dress, but the most noticeable thing about her was the large baby bump.
“Holy shit Trouty, you knocked her up!” Santana yelled, jumping out of her seat and coming over to feel the bump. Everyone else gathered around as well.
“You guys really got to work, didn’t you? I feel like I was just at the wedding,” Puck said, folding his arms. Sam blushed and shrugged, moving away from the girls and Ms. Pillsbury as they crowded around his wife.
“That was a year ago man,” he replied, biting his lip.
“That baby is going to have the biggest—”
“Yes, yes, I know! Honestly Puck, I thought you’d be more original,” Sam interrupted, smirking. Puck just laughed.
“It’s been a long time, I’m rusty!”
The remainder of the evening was spent eating, dancing and singing along to whatever to DJ put on until the baby started kicking and Sam suggested they call it a night. They said goodbye to all their friends and got into their SUV to drive back to the hotel.
Once they were there, she was already yawning and it was only nine. Sam was used to it; she was always sleepy, hungry, or horny.
“Arms up,” he commanded. She lifted her short arms and he pulled the dress over her head before laying it on the chair nearby. She stood there in her underwear, looking at him with tired eyes and he couldn’t help but smile at her cuteness. He went to the bathroom and came back with a tie to put her hair up, something he’d become very good at over the years they’d been together. When he did that, he led her over to the bed and she got in, lying on her side.
Sam unbuttoned his shirt and tossed it in his suitcase. He got the rest of his clothes off and slid into the bed beside her, pressing himself against her back and wrapping his arms around her, his fingers grazing her stomach.
“That was fun,” she said before yawning again.
“It was,” he agreed. “It was nice seeing everyone.”
